Support - Old Macintosh systems

Mac OS X on Intel

Acrobat 8 will run natively on Intel processors. All of our plug-ins include updates to support this. You need Quite Imposing or Quite Imposing Plus 2.1 or later; or Quite A Box Of Tricks or Quite Revealing 1.8 or later.

Mac OS X.5 "Leopard"

Update to Quite Imposing/Quite Imposing Plus 2.1c or later, or Quite A Box Of Tricks/Quite Revealing 1.8c or later.

Mac OS X.6 "Snow Leopard"

Our plug-ins work just the same on Snow Leopard as they did on Leopard. However, Snow Leopard no longer automatically installs "Rosetta", needed by the installer for Quite Imposing and Quite Imposing Plus 2 and older installers of other products. You can allow Snow Leopard to download and install Rosetta, or install plug-ins manually, or upgrade to Quite Imposing or Quite Imposing Plus 3.

Mac OS X.7 "Lion"

Our plug-ins work just the same on Lion as on older systems. However, Lion will no longer run "Rosetta", needed by the installer for Quite Imposing and Quite Imposing Plus 2 and older installers of other products. You should upgrade to Quite Imposing or Quite Imposing Plus 3.

Mac OS X.8 ("Mountain Lion")

Our plug-ins work just the same on Lion as on older systems. However, Lion will no longer run "Rosetta", needed by the installer for Quite Imposing and Quite Imposing Plus 2 and older installers of other products. You should upgrade to Quite Imposing or Quite Imposing Plus 3.

On Mountain Lion and later systems you may get a message Install Quite Plug-ins can't be opened because it is from an unidentified developer. This is a normal message caused by Mac OS settings. Please see this page for solutions.

Newer Mac systems

Newer Mac systems are supported, refer to our main support page.
